On August 25, 2011 at 12pm Pacific Standard Time, Grammy winner Patti Austin, in her first Google Plus Hangout concert, will perform songs from her highly acclaimed new CD Sound Advice. With the help of her Internet marketing team,www.ADPublishing.org, Ms. Austin will be able to reach a geographically diverse audience right from her studio in Los Angeles, California. Patti's "hangout" will be a small and intimate audience who will be "up close and personal" and be able to see, hear and chat with the star.
There are very few performers that reach the status of "icon" or "legend" while in the midst of experiencing a career resurgence that has brought not only continuous but also renewed acclaim. Grammy winning music icon Ms. Patti Austin is one such performer. Discovered by Dinah Washington and mentored by her now "godfather" Quincy Jones, Patti Austin began her career at age four. She was later known as the "Queen of Jingles" and then quickly transitioned to the top of the Billboard charts with classics that include "Baby Come to Me", "How Do You Keep The Music Playing", and the list goes on and on. Hailed as "the singer's singer" by those "in the know", Patti Austin easily and gracefully navigates through a myriad of musical genres. Whether it be pop, contemporary or straight-ahead jazz, Patti Austin leaves her vocal stamp on every note her voice touches. With 9 Grammy nominations and a recent Grammy win for her revered "Avant Gershwin" recording, Patti Austin proudly reigns amongst music's elite.
The newly launched Google Plus Hangout will give the audience a chance to join Patti Austin's "inner circle." In a sign of the times, this event will spark a generational technology revolution for this singing legend whose career stretches back in time to when recordings were pressed on vinyl and distributed door to door. With this performance, we are moving closer to a "just in time" and "personal" music approach.
"I'm simply thrilled about this Google Plus Hangout live concert," said Patti Austin. "I think this idea is truly innovative. It allows me to have personal dialogue with my fans in a way that's similar to meeting with them backstage after a performance. The difference is that now they are in the studio with me!"
Information about how to join Patti for this once in a lifetime event will be posted on http://www.PattiAustin.com.
